Board of Directors. The United Way of North Idaho Board of Directors recruits and selects individuals based on specific requirements. If you are interested in serving on the UWNI Board of Directors, we encourage you to reach out to learn more and be connected with a current Board Member. 

Resource Development Committee. Help UWNI grow vital resources needed to fight for the health, education, and financial stability of ALICE families in North Idaho. Fundraising is done through workplace campaigns, individual project fundraising, grant writing, sponsorship, and events. Resouces Development Committee meets monthly with a virtual option.

Events Committee Are you passionate about bringing to life fun, informative events for the purpose of supporting those in need in our community? If so, the Events Committee is a great place to get involved in planning and executing events within North Idaho. Events Committee meets monthly with a virtual option. We host five events each year and participate in many partner events throughout the year. 

Community Impact Councils. Since 1957, our Community Impact Councils have helped the community understand unmet needs and evaluate funding requests. For more than 60 years our Impact Councils are still at the heart of our understanding and focus of the work we do. There are three impact councils: Education, Financial Stability, and Health. Impact Councils meet regularly throughout a season depending on our CCF needs.

A.L.I.C.E. Task Force Lead by a volunteer leadership Team our A.L.I.C.E Task Force is an deeply impactful collaboration between people from various organizations that support or offer services to our A.L.I.C.E. population. The team leadership model allows more flexibility as a team hosts, schedules presenters and collaborates for greater impact. The A.L.I.C.E. Task Force leaders meet occasionally, and the Task Force meets virtually once each month. 

Volunteer Opportunities

READY! for Kindergarten volunteers. Help parents succeed in their role as a child's first teacher! Volunteers will prepare classrooms, greet families, distribute workshop materials, and support workshop facilitators in approximately 2-hour increments.

UWNI Office and Administrative Support United Way of North Idaho is in need of Office and Administrative support. Support may include; putting together bags for READY! for Kindergarten events, office cleaning, general office tasks such as shredding, filing or other organizational assistance.
