Ready! for Kindergarten is a nationally-recognized school readiness program FREE for North Idaho residents. These workshops show parents and caregivers how to prepare children for a happy and successful school experience by focusing on language and literacy, math and reasoning, and social-emotional skills.
This program made possible thanks to funding and support from the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children (Idaho AEYC) and the Idaho Children's Trust Fund (ICTF).
For READY! for Kindergarten 2025-2026, UWNI has partnered with United Way Worldwide and Lyft to provide ride vouchers for families in participating areas where Lyft is available. These rides will transport a family to and from READY! for Kindergarten locations. Ride can be either fully covered or partially covered, depending on distance, need, availability, etc.
