Location: Kootenai River, from the downtown Bonners Ferry bridge to Rocky Point near the Boundary County Search and Rescue boat launch.
Hosted by the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club, the Great Kootenai River Duck Race is a family-friendly fundraiser benefiting local scholarships, community organizations and service projects throughout Boundary County.
Participants can "adopt" a small duck for $5 (with cash prizes of $200, $100 and $50 for the first three finishers) or purchase one of 100 large ducks for $100 for a chance to win a $1,000 cash prize. Tickets are available from Rotary members, Hidden Haven Sweets and Treats, Al Wilson Auto Repair, Accurate Northwest Autobody and at the Rotary booth during the Boundary County Fair.
