Coronavirus Relief Fund

In coordination with community leaders representing the City of Coeur d’Alene, Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce, Panhandle Health District, CDAIDE, St. Vincent de Paul, CDA School District 271, and Orchard Ridge Senior Living, United Way of North Idaho has established the CDA Coronavirus Relief Fund. We are in frequent communication with Panhandle Health District’s Incident Command and Kootenai County Emergency Operations Center. We have also identified specific populations who may be the most vulnerable during these times. Please consider a contribution to help.

PURPOSE OF THE FUND

This fund will be used solely for the purpose of helping those most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The necessary steps to slow the transmission have included school closures and reduction in economic activity, which will have a disproportionate impact on local ALICE families and certain local population groups such as the health risk for seniors. For that reason, resources will be prioritized to organizations working directly with local population groups most affected. Those include the hospitality industry, vulnerable seniors, Pre-K and K-12 youth.

FUNDING PRIORITIES & GRANTMAKING PROCESS

The CDA COVID Relief Fund will work with agency representatives serving the greater Coeur d’Alene area. These representatives are working directly with agencies serving the following:
  • Hospitality/Service Industry
  • Vulnerable Seniors
  • Pre-K Children and Child Care Providers
  • K-12 Youth
If your organization provides service to these populations, please use the following application packet for consideration of funding:

This will not be a public Request for Proposal, nor will funds be distributed to individuals.
Also, be sure your organization is up to date on North Idaho Connections (https://www.northidahoconnections.org) and the Idaho 211 CareLine (https://211.idaho.gov) so those seeking services can find you.
